the writing off the wall

living, watchful walls
record my naked thumbprint;
interpreter speaks
in no silken Jesus-voice:
Axe your question, man!

© MLee Dickens'son 25 Sept 2009

constructed around 10 words from a poem by Debra Spencer:
living, watchful, walls, naked, thumbprint, interpreter, speak, silk, Jesus, axe

Daniel, I have read this several times now and I still don't quite understand it, could you explain to me, mainly that last line. Are you using a form of slang in 'axe' ? Or are you trying to say the voice is telling me to cut off my question? Or am I just brain dead? Might be that last one...lol.
