Hi all.  :) The Original Snippet challenge is here.

I thought it might be fun to try and use several of William Wordsworth's Poetry snippets and form a new poem with partial lines of his various poems.

I will supply the lines. You can use them as the beginning of a line or mix them up as long as the snippets remain intact. Good luck!

Here are the snippets you must use in your poem (in any order). Feel free to rhyme or write free verse or any other type of poetry style to your liking!
Cheers!
Lori

And so the grandeur
For transient sorrows
Brings fresh

Naked Truths

I wandered lonely, faction to faceless
flocks monitoring mirrored images
of inspiration on reflected
whispers of halfhearted hope.

Unbiased surrender brings fresh
faith once lost, to flourish freely.
The gentleness of heaven
imparts splendors unparalleled.

Most sweet it is ascertaining
intelligence as pure as the naked
truths told by tenacious prophets.

The touch of earthly spiritual
stimulus enthralls the
unfeasible esoterically.

Surveillance for transient sorrows
reveals shattered disbelief
sacrificed like a violet by a
stampede of sleet slicing petals.

Individual convictions gleam,
coursing whispers of full hearted
Hope and so the grandeur of
insight breathes forevermore.

Is This The Place

I wandered lonely streets of paradise,
with my trusty Simpsons lunch box,
undressed, pure as the naked cherubs',

it occurred to me, that I was being sent,
to the gentleness of heaven, of my own accord,
in my reverie, (Most sweet it is),

I felt like a violet, by a wayside stand,
to make amends, for all transient sorrows,
committed... in my life,

it brings fresh pleasure, to my soul.
a journey of inspiration on,
being bound by truths,

And so the grandeur, of my mission ,
in life ,unfolds here today,
As I enter this wondrous place,

I bring, just the touch of earthly man.

Dear Cleo

I decided to have a light-hearted pop at this, and have surprised even myself !
I could say "Wish I'd written this !"

Your Day

Pure as the naked babe,
wrapped in the gentleness of heaven
and snuggled in, to her Mama's breast,
a violet by a swollen springtime stream,
you lie

Most sweet it is to contemplate
your life to come, perfect and ideal;
each moment brings fresh thoughts,
for transient sorrows will impinge,
awhiles

And so the grandeur of your arrival
brings the touch of earthly joy
to me, as I wandered lonely away
bereft now of inspiration on this perfect day:
your day .....

A MESSAGE FROM HIGHER AUTHORITY

And so the grandeur of man's ideas
competes with the gentleness of heaven,
while the touch of earthly folly
is devoid of inspiration, on any level.

A violet by a violence is forever and ever crushed, Amen.
Would this were but your temporary duress :
for transient sorrows you can endure;
your blind hope brings fresh perspectives.

Most sweet it is to be driven by an optimism
that is pure as the naked snow
wherein full of hope you said "I wandered".
Lonely
? Hah ! You ain't seen nuthin' yet .....

Signed : God

Hello Cleo  :pharoah:

This seems like a formidable challenge but your piece has used the phrases very skillfully here. Very clever! dance.gif I particularly like the phrase

sacrificed like a violet by a

Thank you for the read.

Dear Cleo

Being snippet-challenged, I've invented my own. I have reversed the word running order in the 12 Worthwords snippets, and written a poem incorporating all of these.

Any good ?

Love
Alan

HE DOES NOT MIND

In a heaven of gentleness,
the
naked, the “as pure as Adam and Eve
before the fall” brigade, the “sorrows transient,
for all is not lost” crew, make demonstration.

Coffee, fresh, brings my thoughts into sharp relief.
Life, is it sweet mostly, earthly of touch,
the
sorrows transient, fora by violet,
a
by violence dominated world ?

And you ? Are you lonely? Wandered I
perchance into your glade, on inspiration
of
a more than human kind, displaying
a grandeur the so and so usually reserves unto Himself ?

I will not mock, for He mocks not me.
Indeed, His gentleness encompasses all,
not least such humorists as I, who would pretend
to independence of Him. He does not seem to mind .....

Kalingga Rain Dance

I wonder if a raindrop has ever said,
“Another day I wandered,
lonely
and falling
aimlessly.”

Pure as the naked Indian maiden,
I shall fervently dance,
full of inspiration,
on
bare feet in earnest soil.

Between swirls of clinging dirt
and bass-filled throats of drums pounding,
a violet (by a different name) is caught
for transient sorrows
and given to the Idol.

I collapse in a heated breath.
The ground is beat upon
with the gentleness of heaven.

And so the grandeur
in the touch of earthly showers
brings fresh an exclamation to that raindrop,
while the sun warms goose bumped skin.

Most sweet it is to taste you.
Please come again, and do not be lonely
in Our sky.”

This is so good !

My mind is spinning with : Which"Indian" doe she mean ? Someetimes it seems Native American, others oriental .....

And what an "off-the-wall" take on the snippets !
