HOLIDAY QUERRIES

Peace, love, health and joy, wishful thinking or just a ploy?
A girl and boy treasure lifetime moments from just one toy,
fond memories are made this time of year, relax and enjoy;
wishful thinking or just a ploy, peace, love, health and joy.

Cheerful smiles and happiness, do they muffle the loneliness?
May gossamer snowflakes tickle your fancy with a soft caress,
and the echoes of children’s laughter, may they be boundless;
do they muffle the loneliness, cheerful smiles and happiness?

A caring nature and good will, do they dispel winter’s chill?
Icy, slippery roadways, never fun, just another bitter pill,
but soft snow and horse-drawn sleighs make a nice twin bill.
Do they dispel winter’s chill, a caring nature and good will?

The blessed gifts you receive, do you still choose to believe?
Look deep inside yourself, your faith you can still retrieve,
it’s the acceptance and trust your soul is hoping to conceive;
do you still choose to believe the blessed gifts you receive?
