THE AGE OF INDECISION

Cometh the hour,
cometh the mantra :

UMMMMMMMMMMM ....

Hi Alan,

Shouldn't you post this one in Shogun's short forms instead?

So... what is the "mantra"?

Dear Lori,

Short yes, but form no ! Do I, or can you move it to the right place ?

And the mantra is my version of OMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM : UMMMMMMMMMMMM !

Alan

Alan

I think you just found the lost chord! laugh.gif

Moody blues - remember

OM
(Michael Pinder)

The rain is on the roof,
Hurry high, a butterfly.
As clouds roll past my head,
I know why the skies all cry,

Om. Om. Heaven. Om.

The Earth turns slowly round,
Far away, the distant sound.
Is with us everyday,
Can you hear, what it says,

Om. Om. Heaven. Om.

Cheers,

Wally

Hi Alan,

I've got a funny title for this, I think. What about "The Dinner Hour"? Ha!!!

Like your depth and inner peace piece! hersheyskiss.gif hersheyskiss.gif hersheyskiss.gif

Alan, Hey what's the mantra, are you umming cause you don't know the words? Love the off beat humor my friend.

Dear Daniel, Peggy and Steve,

Thank you all for your contributions. Amazing the thoughts that can develop from a pre-waking moment thought !

Daniel, I might have known my word-play would set you off !
Peggy, your title has me quite baffled - why ?
Steve, great quips !

Love
Alan

Hi Alan,

You may be baffled because of my vocabulary. Now I realize it might be quite Americanized. Over here, "dinner" is the biggest meal of the day. Also, we say "um" when food looks and smells good. If I'd said that maybe a good title for this poem might be "Tea Time," would you have still been baffled? If you understand it now, good. If not, I don't know what to say.

I hope this clarifies it! If not, I'm sorry!

Dear Peggy,

Aha, I would have spelled it "Yum" ! I get dinner and or tea time, but that "Y" or lack of threw me.

My point is that UMMMMMMMMMMMM is probably even more universal than OMMMMM !

Alan

Hi Alan,

Now we're both on the same wave length! Thanks for the clarification.

We sometimes use "yum" too, but usually where I live it is "um." We also use "um" for private and personal interaction if you get my meaning. (blush)

Dear Peggy,

Now I though that was "Darrrrr-ling !"

I always think that word covers a multitude of sins, if you get my drift ....

Alan,

I strongly agree and do get your drift!

Peggy
