Hi Folks~ wave.gif

Following Dolly's lead here and after reading and interacting with you all in the Haiku and Tetractys Train threads, I've decided to start a SEPARATE thread for an Interactive Cinquain Train.

A Cinquain Train!

Same rules (to quote Dolly):

I'll write a cinquain, and then the next person begins theirs with the last line of mine, the next person begins theirs with the last line on that one, etc.  They do NOT have to be on the same subject, but they CAN be if you wish.  It's all up to YOU! Whattaya think?  Shall we give it a go?

How about attempting to write one a day for 15 or 30 days in a row?  Anyone game to commit to this endeavor?

I'll begin this thread:

Angels;
behest His love.
Seldom seen, always felt,
everlasting serenity.
Guide us.

"It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step into the Road, and if you don't keep your feet, there is no knowing where you might be swept off to." ~ J.R.R Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings

Collaboration feeds innovation. In the spirit of workshopping, please revisit those threads you've critiqued to see if the author has incorporated your ideas, or requests further feedback from you. In addition, reciprocate with those who've responded to you in kind.

Thank you, Lori!  Yes, I really like interactive poetry and I sure like yours!Here's mine, beginning with Alan's last two words:

We pray
for all we want
and hope for all the rest.
Don't have to agree with what's best
for us.

CON-FESS

For us
to survive well,
there must be honesty;
so I con-fess I've never lied,
in truth .....

It’s true; I saw it

in truth
we all must lie
if we would sleep at night;
alas, I make it hard for her…
I snore

I MARRIED EWE

I snore,
she says; she lies;
and she lies "wide awake"
counting the sheep she's married to;
in dreams .....

In dreams
I watch you sleep,
brush hair off your temple,
curl my finger around it
and sigh.

SACRIFICIAL
