Hello,
It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I must share this news today. I have just received an email from Sally, Stephen's daughter, letting me know that Stephen passed away on Sunday morning. His family is holding a memorial service for him on Thursday, Februay 28th. His obituary will appear on DaytonDailyNews.com's website tomorrow (Wednesday). I will edit this post with the URL once I have it. If you would like to contact Sally or her sister Emily directly, their emails are (click names to view) : Sally and Emily. Sally also writes: "Thank you all for your friendship to my father." With sincere sympathy and fond memories. May Stephen's soul and spirit fly high and free forever.  ~Lori

I have been away for too long only to come back to shocking news... Steve was a giving and nurturing poet, who encouraged and gave sound advice and who shared a part of his kindness with his style...
