This was done as a flash poem...let's see how it does out here on the board! Judi
Shooting Star...
A forest fairy smoothly sails beneath a sparkling dragon's tail in harmony they fly so high above the treetops toward the sky. The children watch and laugh aloud, as colors zig-zag through a cloud, and fairy dust is sprinkled down upon the glade, and then the town. Next time you see a shooting star don't wonder how it came so far It's just a sparkling dragon's tail, and one wee fairy setting sail. Judith Anne Labriola ·······  ······· |

 Hola Judi!  It is my extreme pleasure and honor to be first to review this winsomely whimsical and totally cute poem!!! This is poetry right up my alley because I love fantasy and this was marvelously crafted. I have to share a funny with you though...I don't know how you'll take it, but when I read, "A forrest fairy smoothly sails beneath a sparkling dragon's tail"....my very first thought was, "My, I hope he doesn't get a bad case of gas!" hehehe!   Just my twisted sense of humor...but I soared with them in this beautifully flowing magical poem! I declare it: ENCHANTING! I wouldn't change a thing... (((Hugs))) Pami

Dear Judi;
Very early in my reading about writing poetry, I read that once a poem is finished, read it aloud. This has helped me. If I stumble, it needs work. I read shooting star. The meter is spot on. I read it again aloud, searching for a weak spot... didn't find any. Then I relaxed and read again, nothing but delightful, rhythmic verse. I like it, and leave it, just as it is. sam ······· ······· Values are to integrity as spirit to spirituality ... the one is needed that the other is sustained ~ Sam
