Hi all. :)
Check out the 'new' home page and links. I've re-designed the look with a new background theme. I'm still working on the postcards page 2, but the postcards 1 page does work... What do you think??    :drill:   ~Cleo

Cleo,
The revised page design is excellent. It incorporates the mosaic theme very well and has a rather more mysterious appearance then before - more enticing. Web design is far from easy. One has to balance so many things but I shall repeat here what I have said elsewhere - MM is easily the best-looking writers' site I have ever seen (actually one of the best looking sites, period). The revised Home Page has taken MM's design a step further. Extremely well done! Congratulations, Cleo. |

Would it be too weird to tell ya this was my first web page design?   It does take lots of time and patience - I am actually going back into the new home page now as Zeus pointed out to me that the links I've attached to the triangles don't always line up to the words underneath (if you are not maximizing your browser) - so to eliminate you clicking on what you think is 'forums' and it's opening 'postcards'  - I will change the hyperlinks now to go on the words instead of those triangles.... Hi Cleo, well done.
Though you obviously have an eye for design - as shown by the MM site itself. The point Zeus made - I hade not checked (I always use browsers full screen) but yes, it can be a nuisance. (You could always make the image hyperlinks bigger by slicing the image and copy the links onto the words - but it all gets somewhat complicated!) The other problem is that different browsers may handle the page differently. For some reason many people I chat to in N America seem to hate MS ie - just because they hate Microsoft. I think here that MS dominates, if anything, more. When designing I do check the basics work in Netscape - and Opera if I'm really keen - but I design to Ms ie, with the rest fitting in. (Of course, if one uses MS FrontPage - MS ie is the only real possibility as default). Anyway, most of this is academic - a great page, well done. Jox. |
