When posting your work in one of our constructive-critique forums, please note the following; (1) These areas exist to help members hone their writing skills and foster feedback. Works are posted, then readers offer feedback and positive suggestions for improvement. Since such detailed crits require considerable time and effort, it is both polite and good practice to respond, fully, to all suggestions offered. Also, in the spirit of the forum, one is expected to offer helpful critiques on others' works and positive suggestions for improvement are always considered. When someone offers their feedback in your threads, as a courtesy, please reciprocate in kind. (2) Each member may post a new work every two days (no more than that, please) providing they then post two critiques of others' works in the same forum. The 1:2:2 rule applies here. You may post (1) work every (2) days as long as (2) critiques to other's works have been given within the same forum. Make sure you reply to comments made in your thread to thank those who have taken the time to offer feedback. An easy way of remembering the posting limit is not to post more often than every other day. Post today, not tomorrow. Please note: Each critique forum is independent and has its own participation rules. Therefore, you may simultaneously post in all of them should you wish, then wait a day and repeat (as long as the required critiques have been given). (3) Sharing our viewpoints through workshopping activities and critique is a positive step to refining our craft. In saying this, we ask that whenever crits are offered at other boards or by other means, please repost them here too so our entire membership can benefit from the experience(s) provided. This interaction (we share here at Mosaic Musings) is an integral part of our continued growth and evolvement as confident and competent writers.
