No Words

There are no words which might express
the gratitude and happiness
that fills my heart each morn and eve.
I’m always reticent to leave
my new back porch but I confess

a friend who thought that he would bless
me with this gift without redress
merits the praise he would receive.
There are no words!

He took what once was one big mess
in my back yard when I said yes
to kindness. I could not conceive
that this, his best recitative,
would shelter me. I’d have to guess
there are no words.

S2/L2 did end in "could not believe"
S3/L1-2 did read: He took what once was a big mess of a back yard...

Thanks Daniel!

When power leads man toward arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the areas of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of his existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

Hey Daniel,

Some of the above mentioned poems are over two years old. Hope you haven't been in pain for that long but if so, I still appreciate the heads-up on the proper structure of the Rondeau.

Hope things are improving with the knees!

Larry
