Mosaic Musings...interactive poetry reviews _ ARCHIVES -> MMHC (Holiday Classic) -> Halls of Montezuma _ Jack London Song

Posted by: Paul Dresser Oct 27 10, 00:36

This is the only song in the world of it's kind: http://www.jacklondonsong.com/ I enter this poetry song into the MM holiday classic. Consider one thing --- Just working with book titles, how easy is it to tell the life story of someone, using their life works, using Headlines in proper sequence? Remember it's Poetry. Music's, Paul Dresser

Jack London

The morning suns about to rise
I've always looked at it like "Burning Daylight"
A Pullman sidecar of tales
I'll write "The Call of the Wild"
The Yukon's in my blood, and the Hawaiian isles.
"The God of His Fathers," "The Faith of Men"
The "War of the Classes," and "Martin Eden"
I rose above "The Iron Heel"
"A Son of the Sun" by "The Star Rover"s will.
"The Sea Wolf" by "The Strength of the Strong"
"A Daughter of the Snows" and "John Barleycorn"
"The Cruise of the Snark" of the "South Sea Tales"
"When God Laughs" at "The Road" were on, and -
"Before Adam"...
"It's better to be ashes than dust"
