The Power of Fall.

Hello friend: a whisper in your ear.
Have you not seen, that Fall is here?
Take a moment; look closely around
discover a beauty, deep and profound.
Wrap yourself warmly, then take
time to let Nature ease the ache
within your soul ere Winter arrives.
As Summer fades, Fall thrives!
Engage laughter to enjoy the way
Fall drives your blues away!
Foster a dream, to capture
fleeting scenes that enrapture
your spirit, as Winter draws near.
Listen close, as Fall whispers in your ear.

Rhymer. November 13th, 2017.
Words used in order: friend, whisper, fall, moment,
discover, wrap, ache, soul, laughter, dream.

My apologies, but this was posted in the wrong place.
Long time since I my last visit.

Thanks Daniel. Much appreciated! Been a long time since I called around. Circumstances beyond my control, but things hare stabilised somewhat, though I doubt they'll be returning to a more normal state for some time - if ever. Have to remain positive.

It would seem MM has been very, very quiet of late? Reasons?

Ciao Denis.

I know about setbacks, Denis. I've been in pain daily for almost three years, and getting around is only with a crutch or my rolling walker... or shopping carts. Facing possibility of surgery on my left knee to have the spacer replaced; the leg is bowing badly, and the joint is over 20 years old -- 5 years past it's expectation. Since the four openings of my right knee in 2014 I've been pretty debilitated.

Larry and I have been playing around in Karnak regularly, and he has been more active in the forums than I have been able to, and so few have been around. Perhaps your return will help us all!

Hi Denis,

It seems we are both thankful for the coming of Fall. I'm glad it merely whispers is imminent arrival as opposed to Spring which always seems to muss my hair with it strong breath when it decides to appear.

I just love the colors which Fall always brings. Not as much down in my neck of the woods as in the northeast where there is an explosion of reds and golds. We've got a lot of pine, cedar and pin oak which doesn't turn but does lend a bit of green during snowy periods.

Good job on the challenge.

Larry

Hi Larry, it's great to hear from you.

Fall colours are always accepted as a given in our neck of the woods as we have many deciduous trees and shrubs that put on a brilliant display. I often figure it's Nature's way of softening us up, and compensating us for what she's going to deliver next! White, white and more white except for the dirty mess we humans make of her monotone coating in Winter!

Always a nostalgic time for myself, as it is the Season, when many of my folks have left for the other side! Even up to Christmas Eve in fact, which was the worst of all when my Grandfather passed away unexpected, only an hour before Christmas Day dawned. Shattering to a lad of 11, as you might guess! Our Fall colours were very muted this year as Summer refused to leave until well into Fall, and many dropped without changing to their normal, brilliant hues! Most disappointing.

I'm hoping to spend more time on MM now I have managed to finish several projects that I had put off for far too long. Unfortunately, my eyesight has deteriorated badly. Cataracts in my one working eye, are really giving me grief, and the Medics are not too keen to remove same. Afeared I might lose all my sight I guess, so I have to do the best I can. I make many mistakes on the computer and my patience tends to wear thin! As an old Matelot, I have plenty of words at my fiongetips, to accommodate the situation! Lol.

Good to see some of the Old Gang - despite their problems - still hang around.. Take care and we'll be around - hopefully - to bore you with more of my offerings. Ciao for now. Rhymer aka Denis.
