SEDUCTIVE SHADOWS

In the rain we raced seductive shadows
as angry clouds veiled buttercup meadows.
Recklessly sprinting a decadent, fast lane,
we chased seductive shadows in the rain.

Emotions roared, like ferocious thunders,
we were victims of love’s wicked wonders.
Duped by faux intentions, spirits soared;
like ferocious thunders, emotions roared.

Fantasies flourished with a surreal appeal.
Frivolous affairs became a manic ordeal.
Two hearts ached, we selfishly nourished,
with a surreal appeal fantasies flourished.

Pandering personalities and sweet desserts
wantonly spirited intimate cuddled concerts;
pampering voices echoed of fiery melodies'
sweet desserts and pandering personalities.

Our self-seeking ways and jaded impressions...
buried in the past, they're no more questions;
shared tender passions expelled this malaise-
jaded impressions and our self-seeking ways.

In beguiling glances we now wallow and binge
on the affectionate road to felicity’s fringe.
Skeptics had mocked us when taking chances;
we now wallow and binge in beguiling glances.

Is a voice of reason an echo to the bone?
Our trembling lips’ rhythms set the tone.
No matter the course or time of season,
an echo to the bone is a voice of reason.

Love is glorious, bright vistas unfold anew,
and desirable dreams are joyful to pursue.
No longer will insecurities make us curious,
bright vistas unfold anew, love is glorious!

Hi John

This is amazing!

Not only have you used the words from the challenge, but woven them into a swap quantrain.

Great work!

Hi John,

Nicely done on using all the given challenge words. You've given us an additional treat by making it into an SQ as well.
Too bad that those of us who like the challenge forums and write poems/prose there have to move our work to Hermes or other forums for anyone else to see them. Haven't been there lately myself. Wife's still not over the retinal surgery but is doing much better so I don't have a lot of time to spend online. Lots of housework to help with and that is not a-muse-ing.

Larry,
Family always comes first and your wife needs your support at this time. However, thanks for taking the time to stop by and I agree with you, I wish more people would venture over to the Challenge arena, there is a lot of creativity over there that is worth a read or a second look.
Once again, thanks for your comments.
JLY
