Millipede & Centipede

“What oh what can we do?”
Exclaimed Mazy Millipede.
“Where oh where can we go?”
Exclaimed Charley Centipede.

Have we been everywhere and place?
Chiming together harmonious grace.
Finding enough shoes is a disgrace,
They absolutely have to be someplace.

They cannot be at just anyplace.

“We have tickets to the ball,”
Charley said with his drawl.
Making Mazy almost bawl.
Their hopes creeping to a crawl.

They shopped on the Internet,
They went to the largest mall,
They exceeded their credit debt,
Their goals were met by nightfall.

Millipede’s shoes are in matching style,
Although, not similar in size or hue.
Centipede’s footwear was in stockpile,
Each and all colored bright blue.

I am glad not to be a centipede,
Needing shoes my feet exceed,
And very glad not a millipede,
Needing ten times more indeed.
