Hi,

I am here because criticalpoet.com has come upon some hard times, possibly end times, and Eisa graciously pointed us to this forum.

I have been writing poetry formal and free for almost 30 years. I have published poetry under the auspices of nowculture.com

I've been called posthumous, posty, postie, and Don (and other things, but I'd rather not repeat those).

Thanks for having me!

thank you for the prodigious welcome!

as to my goals... I don't completely trust my poems, those little devils, so I like to show them to other people who can point out problems I am blind to. Often, I will forget that I left something unexplained, or something will have the completely wrong tone, or I just simply made a typo or left out a word.

But I also like to hear the impression the poem made on you. You might find nothing to critique or change, but the poem might leave you flat anyway. I'd like to hear that. If not flat, then what emotions did the poem evoke, or what tone did it convey? Does it remind you of Miley Cyrus, a walk in the park, or Shakespeare? I'd love to know.

in other words, I want critique on every level.
