I am into all kinds of art, music, theatre and poetry. I'm also a nature lover and environmentallist. I believe nature becomes one with you and is healthy and healing to all you traumas and anxieties. Art, too, becomes part of that place that stands between you and your traumas and heals and helps you transcend them. I'm also a people person and love all the poems about human nature. I hope you will give me some helpful feedback to help me with my poems.

Hello Jeanne~

Welcome to MM!

We are like you art, music, theatre, poetry and story writing. I love nature and the bush as we call it here. I am off on a long trip to Botswana and Namibia next week. It is a flying trip, two planes and a helicopter. It should be huge fun. I am sure I will have amazing photos and hopefully come back with poetic inspiration. I also believe nature is a healer.
I find places in nature extremely spiritual - eg the Serengeti in Tanzania. (Strangely enough that is where my son works.)

In a nutshell - we welcome you and look forward to your poetry!

Bev/Peterpan

Hello Jeanne and welcome to MM! Newbie.gif PartyFavor.gif Balloons.gif

I also am a nature lover and into 'greening' things in my life these days. I like to take photographs and the write about the images - great for stirring the muse! writersblock.gif

Here at MM, we offer honest, yet friendly feedback in our workshopping forums. The level of critique varies from member to member based on their individual goals. It can take some time to get to know each other and what is being sought. Please do wander our halls, take in our colorful 'tiles' and join in the fun.

If you would be so kind, would you care to share a bit of your writing goals with us? What can we do to help? What style of writing to you fancy and what level of critique would you like to receive?

Please let us know if you need any guidance navigating the site or with our participation rules or other goodies we offer.

Welcome!

Hi Jeanne, welcome to MM!

I already saw your first post and I see that you're a highly spiritual person, as well as a lover of nature. That's all "thumbs up" from my point of view, and I believe from most members here.

I absolutely agree that art, music, theatre, poetry, etc. are beneficial for one's spiritual well-being. Personally, I write plenty of "protest poetry" to do with devastation of our planet, discrimination, wars, famine and all the rest of the horrors humanity has historically introduced into peoples' lives.

I shall pop over into the forums now. I hope you'll also offer commentaries and/or crits of others' poems. We love to know readers' opinions and feelings concerning our work.

And never be "put off" by critiques of your work. We're all peers in this community, learning from each other. You'll learn to "take or toss"...!

Cheers, Sylvia-Psyche***
