Not that Matthew Sweeney will necessarily be the one to read your entry, although he may; for your insight and possibly to stir up a poem or two, here is a look at his latest publication:

The Guardian: To the bone: Sean O'Brien finds Matthew Sweeney's pared-down verse, Black Moon, is grim as death--and bitingly funny

Hi Rus,

I am working on a poem now for this month's Guardian workshop. I haven't written anything in a while (the well seems dry) but his assignment is so interesting that I have to give it a try.

I just read Sean O'Brians commentary of Sweeneys writings - I'll let you know what comes of it! :)

Hugs, Liz ...

Hi Liz,

I just sent one in not an hour ago. Hope it meets yours on the shortlist.

Yours,

The Guardian's Poetry workshop results for August:

Matthew Sweeney's After words

I don't see any of us online poets this time around. Or am I not recognizing someone?

Hi Rus,

I glanced through the August results and do not recognize any of the names.

I MUST remember to venture into this Guardian Workshop one of these days (especially since my muse is AWOL). upside.gif
